Tuesday Update – Worldwide

TODAY’S mineral offerings come from across the world, with a balance of old-time and modern classics, rarities and aesthetic display specimens.

Every specimen has a story to tell, whether that is the short-lived discovery of one or two pockets like in the case of the Chinese Mimetite and Australian Chalcocite, or featured in a published article on a locality, like in the case of the Greek Glaucocerinite.

Some specimens are much older, their history dating back centuries and their value coming from this heritage, but every collector has a different perspective on what they treasure. That is the beauty of mineral collecting as a hobby.

Some people collect from just one locality, and this is probably more commonly seen with the world-famous treasure-house of minerals that is Tsumeb mine in Namibia. There are several specimens from Tsumeb in this update too, including an iconic cyclic-twinned Cerussite, but if you want to see more then you are in luck. Next week will be a full Tsumeb theme but even then, that is just the tip of the iceberg. Our inventory of Tsumeb specimens must be the largest of any dealership and we can check instantly what we have in stock, with photographs, measurements and prices, even for what is not yet on our website.
