Renowned for some of the finest crystallized Cassiterite specimens that the world has seen, the Horni Slavkov area in the Czech Republic is also a famous historic mining district. This gorgeous miniature sized specimen features the most magnificent of gemmy, lustrous, deep brown Cassiterite crystals that you can imagine. The largest measures 1.5 cm across and sits perfectly upon a finely crystallized Quartz-Fluorite veinstone matrix. This and the second crystal, at 9 mm across, both have slight chipping to one edge each, but this is barely noticeable due to ones eye being captured by the gemminess of the lustre of this stunning crystals. The larger crystal also appears to show the beginnings of twinning on one side. Simply a beautiful miniature. Ex Horst Wolle Collection.
