Better known as an ancient mercury and iron mine, worked from the 14th to the mid-19th century, Dedova Hora (Giftberg), in Bohemia, Czech Republic has also provided interesting crystallized Baryte specimens, albeit fine examples are rare other than within major museums. This miniature specimen, despite showing some slight etching to the surfaces of the classic chisel-terminated crystals, is very fine indeed. It even presents the more desirable light blue colour. The largest crystal reaches 1.7 cm in length. Ex Franz Lammer Collection, no. 176.
