A rare, very rich Type Locality specimen of the zinc aluminium sulphate hydrate Glaukocerinite, or Glaucocerinite, depicted in a photograph (their photograph is a mirror image caused during the use of film photography) on page 43 of the German Lapis magazine on the Lavrion minerals published in 1999. The specimen is from the Wolfgang Wendel Collection from the Serpieri mine, Lavrion, Greece. The Glaukocerinite is seen as intriguing botryoidal bubbly formations with a fibrous internal structure and most importantly, a vivid turquoise-blue colour. A terrific specimen of this rare and beautiful secondary copper mineral.
