Unique to Jeffrey mine in Québec, Canada is the pink and purple manganese-rich variety of Vesuvianite. Highly desirable from the moment they were discovered many decades ago, most have ended up as very small thumbnail, or miniature-sized specimens with larger display pieces now being extremely rare. This superb, crystal-rich cabinet specimen is almost entirely crystallized Vesuvianite, ranging from orange- to salmon-pink through to cerise and purple-pink on the front and yellow-green on the reverse. The whole is made up of intergrown crystals with glossy, lustrous, terminated crystals within cavities. The largest crystal reaches 1 cm in length. It comes with a custom-made Sunnywood acryllic display stand.
