Tuesday Update – USA
Thomas CotterellShare
AS we finalize our preparations for the Spring Showcase event at the Tucson Fine Mineral Gallery, today we bring you a USA-themed selection.
With specimens from Alaska to Arkansas and California to New Hampshire we provide an eclectic mix of ore-minerals and oxides, rock forming species and even exceptional crystals of minerals usually considered as accessory species such as Quartz.
There is a strong showing of specimens from Arizona reflecting not only the importance of the state to mining and mineral specimen production, but also our drive and enthusiasm to purchase the finest ‘local’ collections when they become available. In the past 12 months we have bought three significant Arizonan collections and these are all viewable at our showroom in the Tucson Fine Mineral Gallery.
Our Spring Showcase runs from Friday May 8 to Sunday May 10 and I encourage you to make the trip not just for American minerals but to see the breadth of what our showroom holds. It really is just like a museum, but with the freedom to handle specimens, all of which are for sale. More than a showroom, it is an all-encompassing mineralogical experience: a must visit venue for those who make minerals an obsession.
Our wonderful team, which this year includes Ian, Debbie and Stew are very friendly and welcoming and will make you feel at home.
If you cannot make it, remember, our website continues expand, and now holds over 7,000 fine mineral specimens all searchable at the click of a mouse, or on your phone too.
Whether you are travelling across for our Spring Showcase, or have other plans, have a wonderful week ahead. Next week our emphasis will be on Gem minerals from around the world.
Please note: Today's featured specimens are all situated in our US showroom except for the Sphalerite which is at our UK showroom.
