TODAY we take a journey around the world, bringing together an exceptional selection of minerals from some of the most celebrated and intriguing localities. All the specimens featured are brand new to our website, acquired through a number of recent collection acquisitions. It's always exciting to explore newly acquired collections and uncover the remarkable treasures they contain, often bringing classic specimens and less frequently seen localities back into the spotlight.
Namibia is particularly well represented, with a beautiful pair of Amethyst crystals from Tafelkop in the Goboboseb Mountains and a striking deep green to electric-blue Elbaite Tourmaline from Usakos. Elsewhere in Africa, a classic cabinet-sized Vanadinite var. Endlichite from Touissit, Morocco, stands out for its impressive crystal size and glossy, resinous lustre.
Europe also features prominently, from a delicate fan-like spray of blue Azurite with Malachite from Lavrion, Greece, to an impressive Alpine Rock Crystal from Switzerland. Germany contributes a superb specimen of Manganite from the renowned Ilfeld locality, alongside a particularly fine and rarely encountered Freieslebenite from the historic silver-mining region of Freiberg.
Across the Atlantic, highlights include a superb tri-coloured Elbaite Tourmaline from Pala Chief mine in California and desirable Grossular Garnet from the famous Jeffrey mine in Québec, Canada. Further afield, a richly coloured Forsterite crystal from the remote Sapat Gali mines in Pakistan and a statuesque raspberry-red Rubellite Tourmaline from the Malkhan pegmatite field in eastern Russia provide two more standout pieces.
Next week, we turn our attention to Thanksgiving with a special update to celebrate the occasion. We look forward to sharing it with you!
Please note: Today's featured specimens are all situated at our UK showroom.
