Tuesday Update – Worldwide
Thomas CotterellShare
IT may be quite soon after our Summer Open Day, but not everyone is based in the UK to be able to stop by, and not everyone collects British minerals. So, here we have put together a really wonderful selection of choice worldwide specimen which have recently come to us.
I should of course thank everyone who came along to our East Coker showroom in Somerset on Saturday. I must confess that I was apprehensive about who would turn up, given the typical English summer weather that was forecast. But no, despite the rain, the crowds arrived and our showroom was brimming with enthusiastic collectors, producing the sort of atmosphere we live for. Stories were told, memories were made, and minerals were mulled over. And most importantly, sales were great, so thank you all.
The party continued into the evening and our doors opened again on Sunday for those who know that one day is simply not long enough to see everything.
So, to the here and now. Today we have everything from classics, rarities and aesthetics. These are not new finds, but rediscovered old, and new world classics from the many collections we have acquired recently. We have seen a surge in interest in Rhodochrosite this year and, fortunately, we are able to offer a good selection today. They are definitely worth a closer look, as are all of the pieces, so get clicking and have a really good browse.
Next week our update will also be worldwide in scope, but restricted only by the countries involved in the Football World Cup that officially starts this weekend. So, even if you don’t like football, or soccer, at least you will have diverse range of minerals to distract you.
Please note: Today's featured specimens are all situated at our UK showroom.
