The sharpness of form of the tetrahedral Tetrahedrite crystals from Cavnic mine in Romania make them amongst the world's best. What we once knew of as Tetrahedrite is now spit into a group of individual species and the Cavnic crystals appear to be dominated by Tetrahedrite-(Zn). This specimen from Martin Kershaw's collection features a nicely spread-out scattering of sharp, grey metallic tetrahedral crystals (to 7 mm on edge) on, and partially overgrown with finely crystallized white Quartz extending up above a bed or Quartz-Pyrite. Some of the Tetrahedrite crystals are damaged but the layout of crystals looks very fine indeed.
