Narrow curved barrel-shaped crystals of siskin-green Pyromorphite almost entirely cover the top surface of a light to dark tan arenaceous matrix. This specimen is from the famous Berezovskii ore deposit at Ekaterinburg in the Middle Urals of Russia. The Pyromorphite crystals are between 2 and 4 mm long, have a very high lustre and terminate in a pinacoid often tinged pale mustard green. A good Pyromorphite from the old mining district of Berezovskii, then the USSR when this specimen was collected and first labelled.
