This most aesthetic miniature hexagonal Calcite prism set amongst bunches of colourless, gemmy Quartz crystals is from the now classic Dal'negorsk mining district in Primorskiy Kray, within the Far-Eastern Region of Russia. If you are unfamiliar with the geography of this region of Russia, it follows the mainland coastline facing out towards Japan! The accompanying video shows this specimen in white LED light and ultraviolet light. The Calcite lights-up a stunning peachy orange and sheds similar coloured light across the adjacent non-fluorescent Quartz crystals. A beautiful specimen in both white and UV light!
