This fine and aesthetic small cabinet specimen displaying a Tourmaline crystal of rich bottle to yellowish leafy-green with creamy-white bladed crystals of Albite Feldspar and a chunky Quartz crystal. This most attractive specimen is from Shengus in the Haramosh Mountains of the Skardu District in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The Albite forms platy books of well defined, milky white crystals of the variety Cleavelandite which envelope a good half of the light grey to colourless terminated Quartz crystal. The Tourmaline prism is opaque at its roots, gradually grading to a gemmy areas at the termination The dominant Tourmaline prism measures 4.5 cm. tall. In transmitted light the upper half of the Tourmaline is a variety of rich fern to limey leaf greens and looks magnificent. A splendid Tourmaline on matrix from Shengus in Pakistan, fabulous for display.
