This exceptional miniature Titanite (what the old school would call Sphene) is from one of the world's greatest 'alpine-mineral' occurrences in the remote Tormiq Valley in the Haramosh Mts., Skardu District, northern Pakistan. Not only is it extremely well-crystallized, with many excellent twinned crystals, some up to 1 cm in length, but it has the sought after glassy green colour and is in superb condition with great aesthetics too. There is a little darker green Chlorite as 'matrix' but actually most of the specimen is Titanite due to the sheer number of crystals clustered together. An alpine classic in stunning condition. It is mounted on a colourless acryllic display block with chamfered edges but can easily be removed.
