This long thin 'colourless' prismatic Spodumene crystal is the variety Hiddenite from Resplendor in the famous gem mining province of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The crystal is rectangular in cross section and terminated with an offset angled face. The crystal is transparent in one direction but shows some natural etching on the surface in some places. At certain angles, a greenish tint can be seen, hence the attribution to Hiddenite. A very presentable Spodumene crystal from Brazil, and quite large at 13 cm in length.
