This very glossy triangular-shaped miniature plate of Sphalerite crystals was one of the later specimens acquired by Hans Engelbrecht for his collection (no. 6136, acquired in 2006). From the Březové Hory ore region in the Příbram District, Bohemia, Czechia, it comprises a bed of massive greyish Quartz which is terminated upwards by a layer of tiny Quartz crystals which are themselves coated with a bed of extremely glossy dark brown to black Sphalerite crystals. Penetrating this layer and sticking upwards are a small number of larger, longer terminated prisms of Quartz and one platy Calcite crystal. Minor Siderite occurs at the base of the specimen underneath the massive Quartz layer. It is the Sphalerite which catches ones eye the most, and all of the crystals are in excellent condition.
