A fascinating large miniature of rich golden yellow Pharmacosiderite and pale to sky blue Scorodite, coating a roughly crystallised Quartz veinstone from Wheal Gorland in the parish of Gwennap, Cornwall. The Pharmacosiderite forms lustrous micro-crystals overgrowing both the Quartz and Scorodite and, from some of the peculiar textures present, former epimorphs also. Examples of the latter include a Pharmacosiderite encrusted hollow tube and a fragment with a conchoidal surface. The specimen is ex. the Mike Brooke Mineral Collection and prior to this was in the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia (No. 24209).
