A beautiful transparent large miniature Gwindel Quartz with characteristic double terminations from the Mont Blanc Massif in Chamonix, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Gwindels are typically smoky, making this colourless Rock Crystal variety much rarer. The specimen has perfect transparency, with the terminations at one end being lightly dusted with micro-crystals of pale green Chlorite and, to a lesser extent, on the convex-curved face of the Gwindel. Although colourless and totally transparent, the Chlorite imparts a greenish hue to the specimen. A lovely and aesthetic French Gwindel Quartz.
