A stockwork-style structure of 1.5 mm thick intermeshed plates of milky Quartz form the framework over which rich drusy masses of greyish-pink to clove-brown Pyromorphite crystals are deposited. The Pyromorphite crystals form many habits and are typically between 1 and 3 mm long. In one area some amazing crystals dominate, forming tapering tubes with one end flared and rounded like the cone of a trumpet with hollow centres. The overall look is that of a fossil sponge replaced with Pyromorphite. A remarkable specimen from Rosenberg Mine at Bad Ems.
