This choice thumbnail Pyromorphite of rich golden amber with stipple-textured terminations of golden-tangerine, is from Kabwe mine in Zambia. Formerly named Broken Hill, the Kabwe mine lies about 130 km north of Lusaka in Central Province, Zambia. The Pyromorphite crystals are of an exquisite colour and form a radial spray emanating form a common base attached to a little black granular sulphide matrix. A few of the Pyromorphite terminations are coloured sooty black by a thin coating of sulphides. This is a tremendous thumbnail Pyromorphite from the classic Kabwe mine.
