A group of steely-silver Pyrargyrite crystals from the famous silver mines around Jáchymov in the Krušné Hory mountains of Czechia form an intergrown cluster dominated by an upright superb flattened crystal measuring 1.3 x 1.0 x 0.4 cm. This crystal is missing its back where it was grown on matrix, but from the front it is really superb. The Pyrargyrite, a silver sulphosalt, is associated with micro-crystals of tan-coloured Siderite. This very old thumbnail specimen comes with a slender, turned and ebonized wooden plinth, but needs reattaching. Ex Simone and Peter Huber Collection (no. 1655) and ex Otto Fitz Collection (no. 1447) with their labels.
