Primary crystallized Malachite is not at all common at Tsumeb but this amazingly rich miniature specimen shows just how good the crystals can get. With a dense Cuprite matrix, the Primary Malachite rises up as sheaf-like bundles of glossy deep green acicular crystals displaying a lovely 'damp' lustre. Around the edges of the specimen - where it has been trimmed - some of the sheafs are damaged where they have been sheared off, but the main display surface on top is in stunning condition. This is an extremely well crystallized Primary Malachite for Tsumeb and comes from the generations-old Weyand collection in Tsumeb.
