The Endeavor mine at Cobar, Robinson County, New South Wales was discovered in the 1970s as a polymetallic massive sulphide deposit. Mining commenced in 1983 under the name of Elura mine but rebranding during the early 21st century gave it the Endeavor title. Despite being a multimillion ton operation only a few notable mineral discoveries have been reported, including some of the world's finest Mimetite crystals and some very fine wire Native Silver. This thumbnail Native Silver from the mine is a pure cluster of twisted wires displaying a bright silver colour with excellent metallic lustre. It presents a great small display of natural crystallized wire Native Silver.
