A very rich specimen of Native Mercury from the famous historic mercury-mining region of Landsberg (Moschellandsberg) in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. This miniature specimen displays a thin, pale coloured piece of host rock, alongside which a brecciated vein has a brown Siderite cement along with red Cinnabar microcrystals and several cavities infilled with silvery metallic blebs of Native Mercury. The patches of Native Mercury reach 5 x 2 mm in their greatest extent, making them clearly visible without magnification. A very nice example of Native Mercury from an all-time classic locality.
