Covering the famous historic mining region of Saxony in Germany, this beautifully illustrated hardback book features superb quality watercolour drawings of the important species collected in these mines. Published in 1994, by the renowned master artist Eberhard Equit (1939-2016), this copy is signed by him to Elna and Richard Hauck. Used, but in excellent condition, this now famous and highly collectible book was limited to 1500 copies. 59 different species are illustrated along with many mining scenes. This was Equit’s first publication on minerals but as one would expect the quality of the mineral drawings is exceptional making this an especially sought-after classic work on German minerals.
