Zeolites of the World, written by Rudy Tschernich and published by Geoscience Press in 1992, was a groundbreaking book for its time. Essentially an alphabetical encyclopedia of Zeolite Group mineral species, this hefty book links hard, well referenced scientific data, with detailed locality listings for the species. There are crystal drawings and black and white photographs for many of the species as well as a glossy section featuring 55 high quality colour photographs – something which was unusual for its date of publication. There are several loose additional inserted pages, suggesting a revision, or updating of the text as new species were discovered. This was very much a pioneering work and a ‘bible’ to Zeolite enthusiasts but copies are no rarely seen available. 563 printed pages. This used hardback is in fair condition with wear to the front edges of the glossy cover but internally is in good condition. Signed by the author in dedication to Donald Barratt.
