A superb well developed crystal of the calcium-beryllium phosphate Hydroxylherderite measuring 5.7 cm along its principal axis with many smaller crystals scattered over the display faces. From Barra do Salinas in Minas Gerais, Brazil, the Hydroxylherderite has a matt, earthy surface coating of a pastel light buff-tan and, where exposed, the interior is pale green-tinged cream with a dull glassy lustre. A small group of snow-white Albite crystals are attached to one side.
