A traditional geological, glass microscope slide, used for the study of rock using a transmitted light microscope. Featuring a 2.4 x 1.5 cm, thin slice of the famous Chinese Jilin meteorite cover-slipped in glass. The fall, in March 1976, produced the world's largest known stony meteorite shower over a 500-square-kilometer area, totaling over 4 tons. The meteorite itself is a H5 Chondrite.
