Fluorite from Stolberg in Saxony-Anhalt is a German classic, with specimens showing an incredibly distinctive form. This cabinet-sized display specimen is in truly exceptional condition, featuring an absolutely wonderful aggregate of colourless cubes to over 3 cm on edge, full of character. These crystals are transparent to translucent, with wispy, white, cloud-like inclusions, but also with flashes of pale green and thin, pale pink coloured lines just inside the outer edge of the crystals. Most of the crystals have slightly truncated corners, not from impact damage along cleavage planes, but distinctive natural crystallization. Indeed, the condition of these Fluorite crystals is amazing and along one edge a cluster of beige coloured rhombic Siderite crystals adds nicely to its association, with tiny brassy Chalcopyrite crystals on the Siderite too. Ex Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021) Collection.
