Magnificent transparent, pale sea-green crystallized Fluorite specimens were found at the Xianghuapu mine in Chenzhou Prefecture, Hunan Province, China during the very earliest years of the 21st century. Small cabinet in size, this fine specimen reveals the wonderful zonation in colour sometimes seen in specimens from that mine, with opaque white outer layers to some of the crystals, but only along one or two of the edges, rather than uniformly throughout. Individually, the Fluorite cubes reach up to 2.2 cm on edge with twinning evident and a good glassy lustre. There is minor chipping to several crystal corners, but this is still a rather nice smaller display specimen from this most famous of Chinese mines.
