Like many Fluorite specimens from the Wölsendorf Fluorite Mining District the crystals are aggregated as 'steps'. Unlike most others, this one from Cäcilia Mine displays a combination of white and very pale grey-green zones. This initially gives the impression of frosting, but the crystal faces are all glassy and bright and as with other 'stepped' specimens, the light reflects in waves across the layers of parallel stepped crystal faces. Although miniature in size, this piece is full of character and displays rather nicely. One or two of the crystals show signs of having been knocked, but are not broken, just showing internal cleavage lines. A lovely individual piece from this famous Fluorite mining district.
