Gemmy green to translucent interpenetrant Fluorite crystals measuring to 2.3 cm, dotted with minor micro Quartz crystals, from the famous Heights mine at Westgate in Weardale, County Durham, England. The Fluorite forms sharp-edged, smaller cubic crystals and an elongated cuboid twin. This miniature displays reasonable purple daylight fluorescence on the most exposed faces while the majority of the prisms remain deep forest green. Under LWUV the entire specimen fluoresces brilliant lavender while in SWUV the Fluorite is an almost imperceptible ethereal purple.
