Seven well-terminated crystals of jet-black Ferberite, in tabular blades to 4.8 x 3.3 x 0.4 cm form an aesthetic cluster from the classic mines at Panasqueira at Covilh' in the Castelo Branco District of Portugal. Attached to the underside of the Ferberite are many creamy crystals of Fluorapatite together with occasional buff Siderite crystals and 2 to 3 mm clusters of pale lilac Fluorite. A terrific specimen of Ferberite (formerly described as Wolframite) from the world famous Panasqueira Mines.
