A tremendous, off-matrix, interpenetrant twin of Cobaltite from the Tunaberg copper-cobalt ore field at Tunaberg in south-east Sweden, about 100 km SW of Stockholm. The twinned crystals have a cleaved base and form a small dome composed from the two interlocking, modified orthorhombic crystals. The specimen is a uniform dull lead-grey and clearly shows an earthy cobalt pink blush. The cleaved basal plane reveals the true ethereal rose-pink hue of the Cobaltite and on one face traces of what is probably Erythrite can be seen. A great thumbnail twinned crystal of this uncommon species.
