This aesthetic and delightful miniature of buttermilk-cream Calcite forming bow-tie sprays to 3.7 cm and glassy, slightly milky Quartz crystals perched on a drusy bed of salmon orange-pink Rhodochrosite crystals, will provide a splash of colour amongst the metallic minerals from Cavnic mine in Maramure? County, Romania. This specimen has a striking crisp and bright look and when turned over, the hidden matrix is that of bright candy-pink massive Rhodochrosite. A diagram on the reverse side of the accompanying label suggests the salmon coloured crystals could be Kutnahorite, but this requires confirmation.
