For a small miniature specimen, this colourful piece from Tsumeb mine has a lot going on. Not only does it feature the rare lead copper arsenate species Bayldonite, but it presents a double pseudomorph - Bayldonite after Mimetite and Malachite after Azurite. It really is a lovely piece and shouts out Tsumeb in its very best classic form. The Balydonite pseudomorphs are a paler green than the Malachite, and the replaced Mimetite crystals are about 2 cm in length. Ex Hettrich Collection.
