For a mine of such calibre and standing, there are only very few specific named pockets recorded at Tsumeb, but one of those, the 'Easter Pocket', found on the 8th Level in 1994 is the one associated with Azurite. Specimens from this famous discovery are now highly sought after collectors items. At small cabinet size, this superb aggregate of glossy bladed, tabular Azurite crystals is an important piece from that find. The Azurite crystals do show some very slight 'nibbles' in places, but they are simply gorgeous, with a sumptuous extremely glossy, to almost 'wet' appearance, and with an intense colour enhanced by a slight translucency. The individual Azurite crystals reach 1.9 cm across, but it is their combination which looks absolutely amazing. Associated with the Azurite crystals are small white Cerussite crystals and possible green Duftite. An absolutely top-class Tsumeb Azurite.
