What a fabulous specimen this is comprising of good Anatase crystals, a highly flattened glassy Quartz crystal and a dense coating (and inclusions) of a vermiform Chlorite Group mineral, most likely Clinochlore. It is from the Lapcha mine at Neroyka Mountain in the Tyumen Oblast, a location in southern central Russia. Two Anatase crystals nestle at the branch between a large, 8 cm long Quartz crystal and a protruding stubby Quart crystal, which might be considered a Japan Law twin (but not for certain). The larger of the two Anatase crystals is double terminated, metallic bluish-black and exactly 1 cm long. Covering one side of flat Quartz crystal is vermiform Chlorite of dark green yet with a golden lustre more akin to that of pyrite! It’s a delightful small cabinet specimen.
