An excellent cabinet specimen of gemmy-translucent, yellow-green prismatic crystals of Vesuvianite from the Jeffrey mine at Val-des-Sources (formerly Asbestos), in , Estrie, Québec, Canada. The Vesuvianite forms thick-set acicular prisms with steep pyramidal terminations. The colour within each prism does vary, from pure zesty lime green to yellowish green and occasionally acidic yellow. Vesuvianite is one of Jeffrey mine's classic minerals and this is a beautiful example of the green variety. Steeply pyramidal terminated crystals of Vesuvianite measure to 1.5cm forming a fine array of lustrous crystals. A white mineral coating on some Vesuvianite crystals is noted to one extream end of the specimen.
