This is an extremely fine large matrixless crystal aggregate of the 'dragon's scale' habit of Vanadinite from the famous Coud'a workings at Mibladen, Morocco. Blood-red in colour, the largest crystal of this hexagonal platy form of Vanadinite measures nearly 3 cm across, which is a staggering size for a species which elsewhere in the world usually only forms small crystals. It is intergrown with many more excellent bright red crystals of Vanadinite displaying a hopper-like ribbed growth habit on the reverse side. A world-class Vanadinite from the world's premier source locality.
