This is an extremely classy and very distinctive Elbaite tourmaline from the famous early 21st century finds at Stak Nala, Haramosh Mountains, Skardu District, Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. This very pleasing grouping of parallel stepped Tourmaline crystals with well-developed platy crystals of Albite variety Cleavelandite really does present very nicely, especially with backlighting. The tourmaline crystals reach 4 cm in length and grade from dark green upwards towards their terminations into a vibrant gemmy green, with a 1 mm thick termination cap of colourless-pink. The terminations of the tourmaline crystals are pinacoids with shallow pyramidal 'corners'. A great specimen of multiple Tourmaline crystals from Pakistan.
