This is a fine, single, matrixless, somewhat gemmy, bottle-green crystal of Dravite tourmaline from the now famous limited discovery in 2015 at Nadonjukin in Simanjiro District, Manyara Region, Tanzania. Reaching 4.7 cm tall and presenting a somewhat stepped, modified classic 3-sided tourmaline termination, it displays a pleasing intense gemmy green colour when backlit, with a reddish-brown area at the base of the crystal. The green colour is due to a small amount of vanadium in the crystal structure of the Dravite. These gemmy green Dravite from Tanzania are unsurpassed in their quality by any other world occurrence.
