A beautiful sparkling specimen of Smithsonite from the Broken Hill mining district in New South Wales, Australia. Lustrous translucent pastel peppermint green Smithsonite micro-crystals form drusy hillocks covering raised areas of a mixed Cerussite and Goethite matrix. The Smithsonite crystals are all 1 mm or below, giving a surface texture of peppermint crystallised sugar. This is a fine small cabinet Smithsonite from the amazing ore deposit at Broken Hill in Australia.
