A large cavity, measuring 5 x 4.5 cm and up to 2 cm deep, is exposed in the granular semi-translucent milky Quartz matrix. Within the cavity, well-formed prismatic sky to teal blue Scorodite crystals richly line the walls as individual crystals, small groups and impressive radial sprays. All the crystals have a slightly greasy lustre and contrast superbly against the micro-sucrosic, orange-tan microcrystalline crust of yellowish-green Pharmacosiderite crystals which line the vug. The lustre gives sparkle to the cavity. It is rare to have a good display specimen with Scorodite and Pharmacosiderite in combination and this is one of the few really good combination specimens we found during Crystal Classics' 2006 mining operations at Hemerdon.
