Rhodonite has become a classic mineral species from the San Martin mine in Peru and this specimen was found about ten years ago . Characteristic intergrown tabular-bladed crystals to nearly 1 cm compose the specimen, with many displaying parallel growth. The Rhodonite is bright cerise pale candy pink with associated bright metallic golden Pyrite crystals on a black Sphalerite crystallised matrix. An excellent specimen from San Martín mine in the Ancash Department of Peru.
