This pretty miniature pegmatite specimen from the Shigar Valley, Pakistan features two well-developed crystal areas of gemmy to translucent Rose Quartz on silvery-gold rosetted platy crystals of Muscovite, and minor white Albite. One of the Rose Quartz clusters forms an attractive 'crown' of crystals developed in parallel growth, with a further Rose Quartz aggregate displays a parallel stepped growth habit to one side of the specimen. Crystals of Rose Quartz of any sort are rare, especially those from Pakistan. This is a particularly attractive piece, found over a decade ago and from the superb gem pegmatite mineral collection of Jesse Fisher and Joan Kureczka. Superb colour and balanced nicely with the texture of the Muscovite.
