A superb cabinet specimen of intergrown, translucent to gemmy, well-terminated candyfloss pink Rose Quartz crystals, each measuring to over 1 cm. This is from Sapucaia do Norte within the Aimorés pegmatite district of Galiléia, in the Doce valley of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Rose Quartz is an unusual commodity for it it occurs more as a massive, cryptocrystalline assemblage it's value is very little, but when crystalline, like this example, then in terms of value it is just the opposite. This example is well crystallised and of delightful colour, making a specimen which look wonderful when displayed.
