Excellent, well-formed crystals of lustrous black Sphalerite with gemmy colourless Quartz crystals, from Gyudyurska mine in Bulgaria. Sharply developed tetrahedral crystals of Sphalerite measure to 2.1 cm; all with a brilliant metallic lustre and gently stepped triangular growth patterns that gradually diminish towards their centres. This is a very pleasing specimen of such a common mineral, probably showing off Sphalerite to its absolute best advantage.
