A beautifully aesthetic undulating bed of light pinkish-brown Pyromorphite crystals from the McCulloch Shaft on the Broken Hill Proprietary Mine, New South Wales, Australia. A solid but porous cemented granular matrix is completely covered in with these well-developed crystals, each around 8 mm high and 2 mm wide. These are surrounded by smaller Pyromorphite crystals along the front and back edges. The matrix curves-up by around 1.5 cm across the back edge, this also totally encrusted in similar crystals. This is a top-class specimen of Broken Hill Pyromorphite.
