A charming miniature, to large miniature specimen, of Pyromorphite from the classic French location for the species. The Pyromorphite crystals, which are quite large at up to 1.2 cm in length, are very showy and full of character, forming a column of intergrown crystals. The crystals are all in excellent condition with an attractive waxy lustre, classic Les Farges mine two-tone dark mustard to yellow mustard colours, and complex stepped terminations. Many of the crystals are doubly terminated with a slight tapering towards the ends. It is rare for a species to occur in such a distinctive form from one locality, that sets it apart from all others, but this habit of Pyromorphite from Les Farges mine does exactly that, and it is a beautiful form too! For those interested in Pyromorphite from Les Farges mine we recommend a copy of Le Regne Mineral series 15 - 2009 is seen or obtained. It is in French language but the whole issue is on the mine and is filled with fantastic photos. A beautiful, albeit smaller, Les Farges mine Pyromorphite.
