A very fine specimen of Pseudomalachite from the Kambove mining district in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Excellent botryoidal Pseudomalachite with a fine dark green velvet-like textured surface covers an 'L-shaped' display face on a Goethite and rock matrix. Kambove is a town in the Haut-Katanga Province and sits at an altitude of 1,457 m (4,783 ft) with the principle ore minerals being copper and cobalt. This handsome, good sized cabinet specimen of the copper phosphate hydroxyl, Pseudomalachite, is a very good example from this richly mineralised mining region.
